1980s

Savcor Group was established by two young Civil Engineers (Metallurgy) in Mikkeli, Finland in 1981. The first results of their bold and innovative R&D were the cathodic protection systems for bleaching drums and digesters of pulp mills. Since then, advanced corrosion control equipment and process improvement solutions for the pulp and paper industry had been an important base of Savcor’s technology.

1990s

Savcor applied this corrosion prevention technology to concrete and steel infrastructure, in addition to many other kinds of industrial structures suffering corrosion problems. These applications and the new customer groups were the founding basis of Savcor ART Pty Ltd. This business area received a huge promotion by the acquisition of a Savcor’s customer, the Australian company, Remedial Engineering in 1995. Remedial Engineering, renamed Savcor ART Pty, was the leading company in renovations and remedial construction in Australia.

2000s

Savcor enhanced its profile in Australia with the acquisitions of Finn International, Corrpro Australia, and Pacific Lining Solutions Holdings Pty Ltd in 2002, 2003 and 2007 respectively. This establishing Savcor as a leading rehabilitation services provider. In 2007, Savcor Group Limited (the parent of Savcor ART Pty Ltd) listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Savcor ART commenced operations in PNG.

Today

Now under a new ownership arrangement executed in October 2014, and having separated from the Savcor Group, Savcor ART continues its operation as an independent company. Today, Savcor ART continues to enhance its profile as the leading providers of advanced protection, industrial rehabilitation and corrosion solutions to the infrastructure and resources sectors in PNG and Australasia.
